This week’s readings investigate what God’s rule of his kingdom looks like in comparison with the rule of other leaders. After having leaders who were corrupt and selfish God’s people are going to have a leader who is going to lead them like a good shepherd. He is going to look after the needs of the sheep, by protecting them and caring for them. As this leader see what these passages tell us about Jesus and what his leadership is like.
