You could also try to welcome the newcomer, and not seem so stuck up because you have been there since year six, and the other person has only been there once. Making the youth group a friendly, fun and most importanty a godly place to havg out could be a great way how to serve the youth. You could help out with music if you have a gift with an instrument.
