490 years ago on October 31, 1517 a movement began. Martin Luther was a tough nut German monk. It was on that day that he nailed a list to a church door in Wittenberg. What was on the list? 95 problems he had with the church at the time. This event was the beginning of what is now known as the Protestant Reformation.
HAPPY REFORMATION DAY!
Amongst other things, there were significant problems with what the Roman Catholic church were teaching about how it is that someone can be saved. Extract:
Matthew’s majestic account of the life and death and resurrection of Jesus slows down and concentrates on the last few days of Jesus’ ministry towards the end. In these chapters, we pick up the action 3 days before Jesus’ execution. In this section of Matthew, we are warned to expect a delay in the return of Jesus, and we see the New Passover instituted, the agony of Jesus at what he knows must soon take place. We see his betrayal, arrest and trial. And we read of Jesus death and resurrection and his Great Commission to his followers.

Terrigal Baptisms – Saturday November 10, 2007 @ The Haven 4pm
Would you like to be baptised?
BAPTISM is a symbol that helpfully marks us out as:
- those who are members of Christ’s body – the church
- those who have been spiritually washed clean by the blood of Jesus and
- those who have been joined with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection.
In baptism we celebrate the new life we have in Christ.
