Don’t waste your holidays bumming around the house watching daytime TV or playing World Of Warcraft in the hope of someday becoming a guild leader (you know who you are). Check out this new movie coming out on the 24th of April called ‘The Ten Commandments’ or read the book (Ex 1-20). ‘The Ten Commandments’ isn’t shown everywhere so check ou the website to find out where it is being screened. A lot of people think that Christians are a bunch of hippie goddy-goodies who live perfect lives and are obsessed with the ten commandments. The Ten Commandments show us God’s standard of how he wants us to live but there has only ever been one person who has done it…Jesus. For us, the Ten Commandments is a kind of mirror that shows us what we are, sinful and cut off from God. Jesus obeyed God and fullfilled God’s laws by honouring God with all his Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength. Becasue Jesus died for our sin, it is now possible for us to get back into a relationship with God because the law is fulfilled through Jesus, if we put our faith in Jesus. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:21-24
Another great gift from God is the Holy Spirit who shapes us to become more like Christ in the way we live. Through the Holy Spirit we are urged to no-longer live for ourself but God. Praise God for the gift of Salvation through His Son, our Lord and King Jesus Christ! Be encouraged to look over the Ten Commandments and strive to love God with all your Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength.

Last Friday was sick! We learnt all sorts of survivor techniques that even Jeff Probst would be proud of: how to fight aliens, wrestle crocodiles, jump out of moving trains and cross a piranha-infested river. We also had a great time working together, tying shoes, gathering hair, rumaging about for loose change and jackets in our scavenger hunt.
We finished our G series on who we are and why we are here. It’s been great stuff learning about why we exist. Last week, to finish it off, we heard about how we are to Gladly Rejoice in God because of who He is and what He has done for us througb Jesus.
This Friday is the Last week for Triple f on Fridayand no 24/7 this Sunday.
