Last Friday at Junior Youth we had a ball! In fact, we had stacks of balls
flying round in Dale’s ’system of fun-making’. It was a little bit crazy,
it was a little bit hectic, but it was so, so, soooo much fun. We also
spent some time thinking about the super important question, “Who is
Jesus?”. It was great to see a bunch of new faces there so keep up the good
work inviting your friends.
This Friday night we’ve got loads more fun-packed activities in store, so
start inviting your friends now and get excited for another big night of
Junior Youth.
And now for the big, big news…
At Operation 24/7 on Sunday morning we released the first devotional
booklets for Junior Youth! It was an exciting time. Really, it was. If you
weren’t there on Sunday or missed out on getting a copy, then don’t fear,
you can still get your hands on one of these fantastic booklets. If you’re
in year 7, go here. If you’re in year 8, then shoot over to here. And if
you’re in year 9, then you can find your booklet here. These booklets are
a great way to help you read God’s word every day and a great place to
write down any questions you might have so that you can ask your leaders.
Make the most of these great resources.

WHY READ THE BIBLE THESE HOLIDAYS??
The Bible is like no other book.
In 2 Timothy as Paul is writing what is probably his last letter, he is keen to make sure that Timothy will continue the work of proclaiming Jesus. In chapter 3 he gives some key thoughts on how to get it right:

Extract:
Matthew’s majestic account of the life and death and resurrection of Jesus slows down and concentrates on the last few days of Jesus’ ministry towards the end. In these chapters, we pick up the action 3 days before Jesus’ execution. In this section of Matthew, we are warned to expect a delay in the return of Jesus, and we see the New Passover instituted, the agony of Jesus at what he knows must soon take place. We see his betrayal, arrest and trial. And we read of Jesus death and resurrection and his Great Commission to his followers.
