PHAT 2010

7th-11th April

What will the theme be?

Rego form and more information to come.

The map below directs from the Berwora exit off the F3 to the Crosslands Picnic Area.

This is an easier road to drop the kids off and is on the other side of the river, there is a link under the map that says ‘View Larger Map’ to see the full path.

PHAT AD2008 = 16th-20th April AD2008

Phat Legends was awesome! The mighty Danes and Saxons fought the brave Amazons and Valkyries in an epic clash of legandary warriors! The Saxons betrayed their brothers, the Danes, because of the love between their leader and the leader of the Amazons, which forced to the Danes and Valkyries into an alliance which was defeated.

PHAT AD2007 = 11th-15th April AD2007 – DOUBLE O SEVEN. Good times. There were four nations in a cold war where espionage was the aim of the game. Russia, Japan, USA, UK. Japan rocked the show. So did Tammy and the Wolverines. Rhett & Dave spoke on 1 Thessalonians in the mornings and Dave finished the series on idolatry at night. Dudes became Christian others decided to start fighting idols in their lives. Awesome.

Top 10

13-17 April AD2005 – SAMURAI - While out fishing on Wednesday evening, our Village Chief Fujitsu overheard some bandits talking and scheming to take over our village, after we had done the hard work of harvest. Not sure what to do he called on the wisdom of OLD BALD WISE GUY – Rhettzu. Rhettzu in his wisdom had a plan to take on the bandits. So the next day we went out to look for some Samurai who could help to train us to defeat the bandits. We found some very good Samurai who trained us in the finer art of working as a team to defeat the bandits who were poised to plunder our village. After our harvest… we readied ourselves to prepare for the attack of the bandits. In a SHOCKING turn of events the Samurai who we’d grown to trust stabbed us in the back. They oldmanknapped Rhettzu and joined forces with the bandits to attack our village. BUT we were not to be shaken. Fujitsu helped us to regather our stolen swords, stolen harvest, and stolen elder. AND TOGETHER WE UNITED TO DEFEAT THE BACKSTABBING SCUM. To celebrate our great victory we enjoyed some sushi and karaoke.

14th – 18th April AD2004 – CONVICTS – What a year!! We had an enormously PHAT time on PHAT this year!! The food was great, the fun was great, the fellowship was great, the friendships were great… the whole time was great!! Ivan and Rhett challenged us in the mornings from the book of James, and Rhett helped us to continue to think about James during the night talks. This years theme was CONVICTS. All the campers (& some leaders) were split into chain gangs for the week. Each chain gang was assigned a trooper to put them through their duties. Amidst the action packed activities, Ivano emerged as a Liberator for the convicts and building up over a 24 hour period the convicts revolted against the the troopers and took over the Island forming a new country: Ivansville. The sorrowful dirges of the convicts were turned into songs of revolution and liberation!

PHAT AD2003 was also a great time. 03’s theme was boot camp. Phat was great for many reasons. A few of them: people became Christian; Nathan & Rhett encouraged us from Galatians; Rhett helped us to think through Wisdom @ nite; and the whole week was fun and encouraging.

PHAT began in AD2002 in a big way. Our two youth groups gathered together for a week of non-stop PHATNESS! The theme was survivor and the tribe "What happened to Gary?" came through with the honours at the end of the week. As well as many great activities we were able to dig into the Bible and get to know God better through it. Roger & Martin spoke in the mornings from Malachi and Rhett "The Sex-Man" Harris spoke on sex at our night talks.

PRIOR to PHAT02… we had combined youth camps for a number of years. All of which were very encouraging and a great time away… but it was with the new camp site and the new name that the legend began in 2002…
